Bring Web 2.0-centric Applications to Your Enterprise Using Open, Standards-Based Architecture

Oracle WebCenter Suite is a new Oracle Fusion Middleware product that integrates enterprise services to provide a unified, context-aware Web application. The tools in WebCenter Suite will allow Java developers to break down the boundaries between Web-based portals and enterprise applications and will enable them to rapidly create flexible, context-sensitive work environments that are based on rich, Ajax-based components, portlets, and content in an open, standards-based architecture. With WebCenter Suite, knowledge workers will use a single Web interface to access a wide range of enterprise services, including business applications, enterprise content, business intelligence, enterprise search, communication and collaboration services, and Web 2.0-centric applications. WebCenter Suite improves productivity of developers and end-users alike.

In addition, WebCenter Suite will be the default user environment for the next generation of Oracle Applications called Fusion Applications. It is scheduled to be available in calendar year 2007.
